ABOUT PASTRY BRASIL
          Enginner Mary Helen came from Brazil to California due to a work transfer opportunity as a Design Enginner on Aerospace field in January 2012. Even before she engaged in the Engennering field she love to cook and since she moved to United States in every party or reunion of friends she cooks introducing to her friends and collegues some of our wonderfull Brazilian culinary and they really enjoy it.

          Working on the Aerospace field for almost 15 years but always having passion for cooking, when she married and became a mommy there cames the opportunity to persue her dream of Pastry Brasil bringing to California mountains (Fresno, Bass Lake and Yosemite area) some new flavors not yet discovered.

          Now  she has been promoting Pastry Brasil and selling her delicious products on Wine trails and farmers markets on California Central Valley.

          Pastry Brasil specialty are the famous candy from Brazil called Brigadeiros, the gluten free Cheese Bread and Chocottone (Panettone made with chocolate instead fruits) but there are so many other products on our menu and every season we have been adding something new on it.

          Our mission is bring our rich brazilian culinary with quality products and homemade flavor to California Central Valley events and parties.

History of Brigadeiro
          Brigadeiro (Brigadeir) is the most popular candy in Brazil, a national passion, it is served in every kids party, coquetels, bridal and baby showers, baptism, weddings and others.

          It was named after a Brazilian Brigadier called Eduardo Gomes that was a candidact for president in 1945 after World War II. His slogan for the election was "Vote in Brigadier that is single and Handsome" so to raise money for the  election ladies started to cook this candy made with condense milk and chocolate powder and it was the Brigadier favorite candy and by that moment after the war condense milk was the option that they have to use for desserts. He did not win the election but the candy became really famous.

          For decades originally made only with cocoa powder, condense milk and butter and rolled in granulated nowadays it can be found as a brigadeiro gourmet using great quality products with different flavors and toppings​.  As I usually say it is not comparable with any other chocolate candy, Brigadeiro is located between truffle and Fudge, it has great chocolate flavor as a truffle but the consistence is soft and silk to bite as a fudge, so it can not be called Brazilian Fudge or Brazilian Truffle because it has its own name: Brigadeiro [Bree-ga-de-roh].
